Terms of service
Last updated: 28 July 2026
These terms apply to the My Little Shop app for iOS and Android, published by Nick La Rosa, a software developer based in Sydney, Australia. By using the app you agree to them.
Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use My Little Shop on devices you own or control, for private use by you and your family. You may not resell it, redistribute it, rent it out, reverse-engineer it or try to extract its source code, except to the extent the law expressly allows.
The app, its artwork, its printable designs and its name remain ours.
The optional purchase
My Little Shop is free to download and free to play. It offers one optional in-app purchase, "The Whole Shop", which unlocks additional shops, printables, restaurant tables and the full sales history.
It is a single payment, not a subscription. There is nothing that renews and nothing to cancel. The purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored on another device from within the app.
All purchases are made with Apple or Google, under their terms. They process the payment; we never see or handle your payment details.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us. If something isn't working, please contact us first - we would much rather fix it.
The purchase sits behind a grown-ups-only check. Please keep your device's payment settings secured so that purchases cannot be made without your knowledge.
Printing, and printed play money
The app prints play money, price tags, barcode stickers, menus and cut-out packaging for pretend play. These are toys.
Printed play money is not legal tender, has no value, and must never be presented, offered or passed off as real currency. It is deliberately designed not to resemble any real banknote. You are responsible for how printed materials are used.
Cutting out and assembling the printable packaging involves scissors and glue. It is an activity for children to do with an adult, and adult supervision is your responsibility.
Your shops are stored on your device
Everything created in the app is saved only on your device. We hold no copy, and we cannot recover anything that is lost - if the app is deleted, or the device is lost, reset or replaced, the shops go with it.
The grown-ups area can save a backup file which you keep yourself, and we recommend doing so. See the privacy policy for how the app handles information, which is to say: it doesn't.
Availability and changes
We may update the app, change its features, or stop publishing it at any time. Where a change would remove something you have paid for, we will avoid it wherever we reasonably can.
Warranties and liability
The app is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including lost shop data.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are liable under a consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the app or paying the cost of doing so.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
